I had a super busy week. I think I toured at least 20 homes this week. I was in Carmel Valley, 4S Ranch, Del Sur and Rancho Bernardo. If you are looking for a home with a pool and a view in Carmel Valley, I liked the new listing in the Cantamar development on Belvista Court for $929,000. And I also liked the home on Willowmere Lane for $1,100,000. I would like to see that home at twilight. I think the pool and the view should be great. If you are looking for a home with an extra-large dining in Carmel Valley take a look at 3255 Lower Ridge Road.
One trend I’m seeing is homes are only available to show at the open house for one day only. There were a few new listings I wanted to show so I call and the response was “we had an open house and that is the only showing, we have enough offers”. The listings were short sales. In the past I had seen a statement in the listing stating “hard to show and only available to see at the open house”. A notice would be appreciated. Have you been to one of these Open Houses? Seriously, Buyers are tripping over each other. It’s not a good way to view a home you are going to purchase. There are just too many buyers inside the home to see the home. Don’t you agree?
